Los Angeles World Airports hosts the FAA for a briefing on the proposed redesign of the Van Nuys Airport departure procedures. This briefing is a result of the Southern San Fernando Valley Airplane Noise Task Force (SSFVAN Task Force) recommendation number two, to modify VNY area navigation (RNAV) flight paths for departures to the south of the airport. The SSFVAN Task Force was established by Los Angeles World Airports and the Burbank Airport Authority to address BUR and VNY noise issues.
